The Johnston County Emergency Service mission of excellent care and quality service goes beyond merely responding to 9-1-1 calls. Our mission includes educating the community about the services we offer and providing guidance on living healthier and safer lives.

What Can We Do?

Educational Public Relation Visits

We are always happy to visit schools for all ages, churches, civic groups and any other gatherings. Some of the services we can provide at these events are as follows:

• Show an Ambulance or other Emergency Services Vehicle
• Show Life-Saving Equipment
• Present Talks and Information on Emergency Services or Emergency Care Topics
• Host Group Visits to EMS Stations

Whatever your needs, we are happy to participate and help teach about what we do to ensure the safety of our community.

Educational Public Relations Visits are free of charge. We often assign on-duty units to visit groups. As such, our first priority must always be 9-1-1 service. Emergencies sometimes affect our schedule, but your event is very important to us and we will make every effort to be punctual. If for any reason we are late or end up missing your event, we are always happy to reschedule until we meet your needs. More formal speaking engagements are typically assigned to off-duty personnel who are not at risk for 9-1-1 interruption.

Please understand that a PR or Educational visit is not suitable for use as EMS unit coverage of an event.

Special Requests for Events Requiring EMS Unit Stand-By Coverage

If you would like to make a special request for EMS operational coverage at an event, we also can accommodate to your needs.

Special Requests for Events Requiring EMS Unit Stand-By Coverage have a fee associated with them.
