Breastfeeding promotion and support is an important part of the WIC program. WIC has trained Nutritionists ready to provide breastfeeding education and support. Breastfeeding moms may also be eligible for breastfeeding supplies such as breast pumps if certain qualifications are met. WIC offers a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program. This is a free program that provides mother to mother counseling and support to women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
