No-Till Drill Information

This page is dedicated to the memory of Edward Humphrey.  Eddie was one of our Natural Resource Conservationists who lost his battle with cancer on March 9, 2020 at the age of 60. He was the driving force behind obtaining the first No-Till Drill at our office.

The second No-Till Drill was received October 11, 2024 in part from grant funds received from NCDA&CS ADFP Trust Fund,  NC Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation and Johnston Soil and Water Conservation District.

    This Advancing Soil Health by Increasing District Equipment Rental Program received support from the NCDA&CS ADFP Trust Fund and NC Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation

Johnston Soil and Water Conservation District has two Great Plains 706NT-1075 No-Till Drills. Give us a call to reserve one of the two drills at 919-934-7156 ext. 3.

As of 9/10/2024 NEW RENTAL RATES will be $10.00 per acre with a minimum charge of $100.00 for less than 10 acres and payable when equipment is returned. All rentals are subject to sales tax.
