About Child Support Enforcement

Child Support Enforcement is a nationwide program established by Congress in 1975 to ensure that both parents support their children to the extent of their ability.

Any Johnston County parent or custodian regardless of income is entitled to assistance from the Johnston County Child Support Enforcement Office. Individuals receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) from the Johnston County Department of Social Services are automatically referred to our office.
