Welcome to Johnston County Building Inspections. Johnston County is one of the fastest growing counties in North Carolina, and we are experiencing unprecedented demand.
The primary function of the Inspections Department is to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the public. This objective is achieved through the uniform enforcement of state and local laws, as well as local ordinances within the County's jurisdiction.

Mission Statement
Johnston County Inspections Department aspires to lead by example. It is our mission to provide friendly and knowledgeable service, while demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and to hold the public’s welfare and safety to the highest of standards.
Vision Statement
The goal of the department is to provide the very best service to our customers in the development community, while developing strategies to guide growth in a manner that preserves and enhances both the natural and built environments and creating a community of lasting value.
