Holiday Hours for Public Utilities, Landfill and Convenience Centers

JOHNSTON COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITIES 

The Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th, Wednesday, December 25th and Thursday, December 26th for the Christmas holiday.  They will reopen Friday, December 27th with normal hours.

The Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed on Wednesday, January 1st for New Year's Day.

The Johnston County Public Utilities Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, excluding county holidays.  Our phone number is (919) 989-5075 and fax number is (919) 934-0256.

Landfill and Convenience Site Hours 

The Landfill facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding county holidays.

Convenience Sites Winter Hours (October 1st - April 30th):

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday:  Closed 

Convenience Sites Summer Hours (May 1st - September 30th):

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:  8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday:  Closed 

Johnston County Public Utilities doesn't offer curbside trash pickup service.  Please contact private trash service companies in your area for service information.
