Angel Tree Project for Foster Care and the Adolescent Parenting Program

Since 1991, the Johnston County Department of Social Services has assisted youth in the Foster Care program and children in the Adolescent Parenting program during the holiday season by collecting toys, clothing, shoes, and other necessities. These youth are placed in the care of foster parents or relatives or are taking steps to live independently. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors from local businesses in Johnston and Wake counties, we are able to meet their needs and help bring joy during the holiday season. You can help too! 

If you work at or visit one of the below businesses during the holiday season, please visit an Angel Tree and pick up an Angel Tree card, where you will find a wish list for a child in need.

Gifts are due back to the location in which the card was selected on Friday, December 6th.

Adult Services Angel Tree Project

We welcome you to help those less fortunate by taking part in our annual Adult Services Angel Tree Project.  We strive to ensure that each adult that we serve has the opportunity to enjoy the holiday season.

The Adult Services Angel Tree project allows our elderly and disabled clients to have gifts to open for Christmas. Many of these clients have very little or no family to help them with a gift.

The Adult Services Staff coordinates with various providers to ensure that a Wish List Card is provided for each person. The Wish List cards do not indicate how many gifts are/will be provided to each person, however it does provide the giver several different gift options for that adult.

Those who choose to participate, are welcome to select an Angel Tree adult to sponsor this holiday season. On the card you will find the information for returning gifts.

To receive an Angel Tree card for an adult, call 919-989-5300 (use the Adult Services prompt), and ask for Kenny Hitchcock or LV Mckillion.  Kenny and LV can coordinate with you for pickup.
